How sign-up, email verification, and access approval work in FilmGen.
Authentication Methods
FilmGen supports two sign-in methods:
Google OAuth
One-click sign-in with your Google account. Email is automatically verified. This is the fastest way to get started.
Email & Password
Create an account with any email address. You'll need to verify your email by clicking a link sent to your inbox before you can access the platform.
Email Verification
For email/password accounts, a verification email is sent after sign-up. You must click the verification link before the platform will let you proceed. Google sign-in accounts skip this step since your email is already verified.
Access Approval System
FilmGen uses a three-tier access model to control who can use the platform:
Default
Pending
New accounts start here. You can sign in and see the access status page, but you cannot access the Studio or create projects until approved.
Active
Approved
Full access to the dashboard, project creation, the Studio workflow, and all generation features. Requires an active subscription for credit-consuming operations.
Denied
Rejected
If your account is not approved, you'll see a message explaining the status. You can contact support for more information.
How Approval Works
- You sign up and your account starts with pending status.
- Our team is notified and reviews your account.
- You receive an email when your account is approved.
Most accounts are reviewed and approved within 24 hours.
