Quick Start
This guide walks you through creating your first AI-generated music video — from account creation to final export.
1. Create your account
Go to /signupand create an account using Google OAuth or email and password. If you use email, you'll need to verify your email address before proceeding.
After sign-up, FilmGen automatically submits an access request. Your account starts in pending status until an admin approves it.
2. Wait for approval
New users are placed on a waitlist. You'll see the Access Statuspage while pending. Once an admin approves your account, you'll receive an email notification and gain access to the dashboard.
3. Subscribe to a plan
Navigate to /pricing or /account to subscribe. Plans start at $49/month (Creator, 100 credits) or $149/month (Studio, 400 credits). You can also purchase top-up credit packs for $59/100 credits.
4. Create a project
From the Dashboard, click New Project. Give it a title and you'll enter the Studio — a 6-step wizard that guides you through the entire production process.
5. Upload your audio
In the Studio's Upload step, drag and drop or select your audio file. Supported formats:
- MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC
- Maximum file size: 50 MB
6. Configure generation settings
On the same upload page, configure your project:
- Video Model — Choose from multiple leading AI video models
- Generation Mode — Performance, Story, Advertising, Anime, Short Film, or Documentary
- Visual Style — Cinematic, Anime, Abstract, Noir, Neon, Vintage, Surreal, or Minimal
- Reference Images — Upload up to 14 images for character/brand consistency
- Script — Optionally paste lyrics or a script for speech-aligned scenes
7. Generate your video
Click Auto Generate to run the full pipeline end-to-end, or step through each stage manually:
- Analyze audio (BPM, key, mood, structure)
- Generate treatment (creative direction + art direction)
- Generate scenes (images, then video clips)
- Review scenes (approve, reject, or retry individual clips)
- Assemble final video
Real-time progress appears in the Studio as each step of the pipeline completes.
8. Review and export
In the Review step, approve or reject individual scenes. Rejected scenes can be retried with a different video provider or regenerated entirely.
Once satisfied, move to Export to assemble the final video. Download your video or share it via a generated link.
